After wasting scoring opportunities in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings Saturday, the Cubs rallied in the 10th on Starlin Castro's two-run, tiebreaking single for a 4-1 win over the Twins. Jon Lester was left with a no-decision despite allowing only three hits in 61/3 innings.
At the plate
The Cubs generated their first run after two outs in the third on hits by Addison Russell, Dexter Fowler and Anthony Rizzo. Rizzo has five extra-base hits in his last four games.
On the mound
After allowing a 410-foot home run to Kurt Suzuki in the second, Lester retired 10 consecutive batters. Five relievers scattered four hits in the final 32/3 innings.
In the field
Center fielder Fowler made a strong one-hop throw to nail Byron Buxton trying to advance from first to second on a deep fly, and catcher David Ross picked Eddie Rosario off first base to end the eighth.
