BRIEF: San Antonio's Tony Parker says ankle injury won't keep him out

April 20--The left side of Tony Parker's body was in pain, forcing the San Antonio Spurs' point guard to limp to the team's bus outside Staples Center late Sunday night after a 107-92 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of their playoff contest.

Parker said that after he twisted his left ankle early in the game, he was thinking, "Come on," how can that happen in the playoffs?

He then suffered a bruise left thigh in a collision with Chris Paul later in the second quarter, and he said that the combination of the two injuries led him to the conclusion: "It'll be sore tomorrow."

"But nobody cares," he said. "Wednesday we have to come and play."

With no practice Monday and two days off to rest, heal and get treatment, Parker said he'll lace up his sneakers and be ready for Game 2 on Wednesday night.

"I'm OK," he said. "I twisted my ankle at the beginning of the game. Obviously you don't want to start a playoff series like that."

The Spurs are down 0-1 in the best-of-seven series
