BRIEF: RPM Steak launches lunch service Wednesday

March 09--Reservations at RPM Steak (66 W. Kinzie St., 312-284-4990) are extremely difficult to snag; I've been there four times and never got a table later than 6:15 p.m. But if you're willing to dine even earlier, here's good news:

RPM Steak will launch lunch service, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, beginning Wednesday.

As you read this (assuming it's still Monday afternoon), the first test lunches are taking place. Assuming all goes well (which is to say, call first), lunch service will start Wednesday.

The lunch menu will include a lot of the evening appetizers, as well as such popular main courses as the steakburger. New items will include several entree-sized salads (with protein add-on options), a house-smoked pastrami sandwich, grilled salmon paillard and steak frites.

Once lunch launches, service will be continuous through dinner.
