Sept. 07--A Round Lake Park man has been charged with aggravated battery in a stabbing in Wauconda on Saturday night, Lake County sheriff's office officials announced Sunday.
Roberto Tinajero, 46, of the 400 block of Linden Drive in Round Lake Park, was arrested at the scene of the stabbing after sheriff's deputies were called to the 27600 block of West Case Road in Wauconda about 11:10 p.m., according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Tinajero allegedly stabbed a man in the stomach with a knife after they got into an argument at a party, according to the news release.
Officials said the victim was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Tinajero was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery, both felonies, according to the sheriff's office. He is being held at the Lake County Jail on a $250,000 bond, and his next court date is set for Sept. 14.
