June 11--The Chicago Cubs have collected 14 hits or more in two of their past three games, and a big reason has been the return of Anthony Rizzo to the second spot.
Rizzo is batting .371 in June and .359 in the second spot, where he will bat Thursday night against the injury-riddled Cincinnati Reds.
Right fielder Junior Lake will return to the lineup despite he torrid hitting of Chris Denorfia.
The Reds will be without shortstop Zack Cozart, who tore ligaments and the biceps tendon in his right knee Wednesday and will be out for nine months.
Second baseman Brandon Phillips also is sidelined because of a groin injury.
