Jan. 29--Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is just days away from two huge events in his life.
He just hopes they don't happen at the same time.
Seahawks fans better hope so too.
Sherman's girlfriend, Ashley Moss, is due to give birth to their son sometime soon. Very soon, like within the next week.
The Pro Bowler said Wednesday that he had been reassured by Moss' doctor that the blessed event is unlikely to happen within the next few days, which is good because it just so happens that Sherman and the Seahawks have a date with the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX three days from now.
Still, Moss is already with him in Arizona and they've made plans for her to have the baby at a local hospital if necessary.
I'm sure everyone in Seattle is overjoyed for the couple. I'm also sure they all can't help but wonder what Sherman will do if the little one decides to enter the world right around game time on Sunday.
Well, Seahawks fans are going to have to keep on wondering.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get there," Sherman said. "We're not thinking about the possibility."
