BRIEF: Revival Food Hall aims for summer opening in the Loop

April 28--Last year, the Loop got the sprawling food court Latinicity (Spanish for "Eataly," judging by the crowds). This year ... Revival Food Hall?

16" on Center, the booming restaurant group that already has given us Longman Eagle, Dusek's, The Promontory and, most recently, Moneygun, announced its plans to open a 24,000-square-foot food court in the remodeled building The National (125 S. Clark St.).

Projected opening is this summer.

The Revival will occupy the building's ground floor and will feature 15 grab-and-go "food stalls" featuring fast-casual food by "some of Chicago's favorite neighborhood restaurants," as per the press release (no names yet), along with several quick-serve concepts operated by well-known Chicago chefs (again, names to come) and a pop-up stall that will change operators every few months.

16" on Center will operate a multi-roaster coffee shop and full bar on the property.

Also featured will be a record store (ask your mom) and reading corner. On the sixth floor, 16" on Center will operate a 10,000-square-foot, private-event space.
