BRIEF: Report: Harry Potter actor Robbie Coltrane hospitalized in Orlando

Jan. 30--Harry Potter actor Robbie Coltrane has been taken to hospital in Orlando after suffering severe flu-like symptoms on a trans-Atlantic flight to Florida, according to a British news organization.

According to The Telegraph, the actor, known for his recurring role as Rubeus Hagrid in the film adaptation of J.K Rowling's popular books, became ill during a British Airways flight from London to Orlando and was rushed to a hospital on his arrival here in Florida.

Coltrane, 64, came here for A Celebration of Harry Potter, a fan event at Universal Orlando, home of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. He is no longer participating in the program, Universal announced Friday morning.

"Robbie took ill last night and is getting the rest he needs to feel better," Universal said in an official statement. "We are sorry he can't be with us this weekend and look forward to seeing him up and about soon."
