BRIEF: Redskins' Chris Chester lists Newport Beach home for rent

Dec. 01--Chris Chester, the veteran offensive lineman for the Washington Redskins, has listed his town house in Newport Beach for rent at $4,500 a month.

The three-story residence, with harbor and ocean views, features a large living room with a fireplace, an updated kitchen, four bedrooms and four bathrooms in more than 2,000 square feet of living space.

Among features is a large second-floor master retreat with dual sinks and a soaking tub. On the top level, a rooftop sports a large patio with barbecue, sink and wired audio.

A one-car garage complete with beach cruisers, surfboards and other gear is included with the unit.

Chester, a former standout at Tustin High School, has played nine NFL seasons for Baltimore and Washington, seeing time primarily at right guard. He has appeared in every game for the Redskins since signing a five-year, $20 million free agent contract with the team in 2011.

Records show the 31-year-old paid $1.315 million for the property last year. Nicola Peterson of Re/Max Evolution is the listing agent.
