BRIEF: Red Line trains rerouted after person makes contact with a train

May 04--Red Line trains going north and south were rerouted to the elevated lines for about an hour midday Wednesday after someone made contact with a train near the Clark and Division Street station, officials said.

A female was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The incident happened at 11:35 a.m., according to CTA officials. Trains were resuming their usual routes by about 12:45 p.m., but were still experiencing major delays.

In addition to the rerouting onto the elevated lines, officials provided shuttle bus service between the Fullerton Avenue and Lake Street stops.
