BRIEF: Real life Human Torch from 'Fantastic Four' is equal parts awesome and horrifying

Aug. 05--Johnny Storm -- also known as the Human Torch, the fiery member of the Fantastic Four team -- has the power to ignite his body and fly through the air. Now imagine what that would look like in real life.

Actually, you don't have to, because someone turned this comic fantasy into a reality thanks to a fiery remote-contolled drone. It's awe-inspiring and kind of terrifying.

Michael Krivicka from Thinkmodo (a group also responsible for previous guerilla advertising videos such as the evil devil baby and the "Chronicle"-inspired drones that sailed across New York) brought the Human Torch to life with a person-shaped drone that was set ablaze in the sky, in promotion for the new "Fantastic Four" movie coming out this week from 21st Century Fox.

A cool thing to see in a comic book and entirely otherworldly in real life.

Note the switch on the remote is labeled "flame on," which is what Storm says when he ignites in the comics (and movies). Clever.
