BRIEF: Rams sign receiver D'haquille Williams and defensive back Jabriel Washington

May 12--The Rams continued to reconfigure their roster Wednesday, signing receiver D'haquille Williams and defensive back Jabriel Washington while releasing receiver Nick Toon and defensive back Winston Rose.

Williams, 6-foot-2 and 229 pounds, played parts of two seasons at Auburn. In 2014, he led the Tigers with 45 receptions, five for touchdowns, but was suspended for the Outback Bowl because he violated unspecified team rules. Williams had 12 receptions in five games last season before he was dismissed from the program after reportedly punching several people, including a teammate, during an altercation at a bar.

Washington, 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds, played at Alabama mainly as a reserve and on special teams. Last season, he was sidelined for five games because of a knee injury but finished with six tackles and an interception in eight games.

Toon, a fourth-round draft pick by the New Orleans Saints in 2012, played in one game last season for the Rams.

Rose, who played at New Mexico State, was an undrafted free agent who went through the Rams' rookie camp last week.

The Rams begin organized team activities in Oxnard on May 31.
