April 30--The Rams selected Kentucky linebacker Josh Forrest in the sixth round with the 190th selection in the NFL draft.
"Goosebumps," Forrest said during a conference call with reporters. "Everybody in the house had goosebumps."
Forrest, 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds, was the first defensive player selected by the Rams after four offensive players were picked: quarterback Jared Goff, receiver Pharoh Cooper and tight ends Tyler Higbee and Temmarick Hemingway.
Forrest began his college career as a receiver before switching to linebacker.
He had 93 tackles last season, including 3 1/2 sacks.
