April 15--A plea of not guilty was filed on behalf of Rams running back Tre Mason, who was arrested in March on misdemeanor charges in Florida.
Mason's attorney entered the written plea on Thursday, according to the Broward County Clerk of Courts.
Mason, 22, was arrested March 5 in Hollywood, Fla., after a traffic stop by police, who used a stun gun to subdue him. He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor reckless driving, possession of marijuana, resisting an officer and failure to register a motor vehicle.
A warrant for Mason was issued this week after he failed to appear Monday for a scheduled court date. Bond was set at $1,500. The warrant remains outstanding.
The Rams are scheduled to begin offseason workouts in Oxnard on Monday.
Coach Jeff Fisher said last month he expected that Mason would be present for the program.
