BRIEF: Protein Bar's new concept, Thrive360, opens in the Loop

May 18--The new restaurant concept from the creators of Protein Bar is now open in the Loop.

Thrive360 Eatery opened today at 37 S. LaSalle St. Protein Bar regulars will notice big differences in design. Out are bold orange walls, replaced with wood fixtures, digital murals of nature scenes and new lighting that's meant to elicit calm.

The menu focuses less on quinoa and more on protein and greens. Kombucha tea will be available on draft. The "bar" concept, which offers blended drinks and inspired the original Protein Bar, has been carried over to Thrive360.

Protein Bar announced the planned opening of the new concept last month, driven by an increasingly competitive market for healthy quick-service restaurants and customers who are more specific in their dietary needs.
