BRIEF: Prosecutors: Woman stole from Walgreen's, struck security guard with her car

Dec. 15--A Trumball Park woman was arrested over the weekend after authorities say she stole from a Walgreen's and struck a store security guard with her car as she fled the scene.

Roshone Jordan, 47, walked out of an East 95th Street Walgreen's in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood Saturday evening with three bottles of Ralph Lauren body mist that she did not pay for, according to Cook County court records. A security guard followed her outside to detain her, court records state.

Jordan, of the 2400 block of East 106th Street, was charged with aggravated battery of a merchant and retail theft, according to court records.

After leaving the store, Jordan got in a 1999 Dodge Neon and struck the 31-year-old security guard as she attempted to flee, according to records.

The security guard was injured but not hospitalized, court records state.

Police found Jordan, who fled on foot, according to court records.

She was ordered released Sunday in bond court but will undergo electronic monitoring, according to court records.
