BRIEF: Preview: Western Illinois at Illinois

Sept. 11--TV/radio: 11 a.m. Saturday; BTN, WSCR-AM 670.

Line: None.

Records: Western Illinois 1-0; Illinois 1-0.

Last meeting: Illinois won 21-0 on Sept. 8, 2007, at Memorial Stadium.

On the offensive: QB Wes Lunt looks as sharp as he did before his injury last season, when he broke Illinois' single-season efficiency record. He tied a career high with four touchdown passes in the opener and connected with eight receivers.

Getting defensive: The secondary will have to contain standout WR Lance Lenoir, who had 10 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in a victory last week against Eastern Illinois. The Illini defense held Kent State without a touchdown.

The number: 14. Illinois wins, without a loss, against FCS teams. The Illini have averaged 42 points in those games with an average margin of nearly 28.

The talk: With another convincing victory, Illinois can create some momentum heading into next week's first road game at North Carolina.

Shannon Ryan's pick: The Illini will pick up where they left off against Kent State with another dominant performance by Lunt. Illinois 38, WIU 17.
