BRIEF: Preview: Wake Forest at Notre Dame

Nov. 13--TV/radio: 2:30 p.m. Saturday; NBC-5, WLS-AM 890.

Line: Notre Dame by 26.5.

Records: Wake Forest 3-6; Notre Dame 8-1.

Last meeting: Notre Dame won 38-0 on Nov. 17, 2012, in South Bend, Ind.

On the offensive: Dating to the USC game, QB DeShone Kizer has had a hand in 10 consecutive Irish TDs (seven passing, three rushing), including all nine against Temple and Pittsburgh. RB Josh Adams (147 yards) filled in nicely for injured C.J. Prosise last week.

Getting defensive: Romeo Okwara's six sacks are twice as many as any other Irish defender. Two came last week against Pitt. Despite the presence of Okwara, Jaylon Smith and Sheldon Day, the Irish are tied for 43rd in total defense (365 ypg).

The number: 28. Career touchdown catches by Will Fuller, second in Notre Dame history behind Michael Floyd (37).

The talk: We'll likely see how much the Irish have in reserve this week and next, against Boston College at Fenway Park, before a trip west to meet Stanford.

Paul Skrbina's pick: The Demon Deacons just don't have the offense to get it done. Or the defense. Notre Dame 48, Wake Forest 13.
