BRIEF: Preview: LSU at Alabama

On the offensive: All eyes will be on the rugged running backs. LSU's Leonard Fournette and Alabama's Derrick Henry are Heisman Trophy candidates who combine for 29 touchdowns this season and 472 pounds.

Getting defensive: Alabama has the superior defense, according to the stats. The Crimson Tide give up 2.6 yards per rush and rank seventh nationally against the pass, compared with LSU's 3.3 yards and rank of 49th.

The number: 7. Times since 2005 both teams enter the game ranked in the top 10. LSU is No. 2 and Alabama No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
