BRIEF: Preview: Clippers vs. Detroit Pistons

Dec. 15--As they welcome the Detroit Pistons to Staples Center on Monday night, the Clippers, themselves just home from a three-game trip, have lost two consecutive games for the first time this season -- after having won nine in a row.

During the two losses, against the Washington Wizards and the Milwaukee Bucks, Clippers' point guard Chris Paul had a very uncharacteristic six turnovers in each game.

Paul is averaging 2.2 turnovers a game this season.

The Clippers (16-7) have won seven straight over Detroit (5-19) dating back to a 113-107 overtime victory on Nov. 12, 2010.

But the Pistons enter Monday's game having won two in a row, and are looking for their first three-game win streak since February. The Pistons had lost 13 consecutive games before victories over the Phoenix Suns on Friday and the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.

When the teams played Nov. 26 in Detroit, the Clippers won, 104-98. In that game, Jamal Crawford led the Clippers with 25 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
