Nov. 13--TV: 2:30 p.m.; CBS-2
Line: Alabama by 7.5.
Records: Alabama 8-1, 5-1 SEC; Mississippi State 7-2, 3-2.
Last meeting: Alabama won 25-20 on Nov. 15, 2014, in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
On the offensive: Fans of round numbers will enjoy this: Bulldogs QB Dak Prescott has completed 200 of 300 pass attempts. Prescott also is a terrific rusher/scrambler (418 yards, seven TDs).
Getting defensive: The Crimson Tide put up a wall against LSU, limiting Heisman Trophy favorite Leonard Fournette to 31 rushing yards. Mississippi State is merely average against the run (3.9 yards per carry).
The number: 1. Interceptions Prescott has thrown in those 300 attempts. A strong performance in a victory would vault him into the Heisman race.
The talk: Fans of Iowa, the Big 12 and the Pac-12 should pull for the Bulldogs, who could open a spot in the four-team playoff by knocking out the Tide.
Teddy Greenstein's pick: The Bulldogs had two extra days of rest and Alabama is coming off an emotional win over LSU. It will be tight, but ... Alabama 23, Mississippi State 20.
