BRIEF: President Obama gives props to Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

April 10--The opportunity was just too good for President Obama to pass up.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Jamaica on Thursday, Obama spotted world-class sprinters Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in the audience at the University of West Indies.

The president gave them a quick shout-out.

"Well, you have the fastest people on the planet," he said. "You've got to say 'hi' to them, right?"

Bolt is returning from an injury that caused him to miss much of last season. The six-time Olympic champion is scheduled to race in France and Switzerland in July.

Fraser-Pryce, an Olympic gold medalist and triple world champion, plans to run the 100 meters in Shanghai next month.

"There are a lot of people out there," Obama said, referring to the global population. "And they're the fastest."
