Feb. 26--Potbelly Chief Financial Officer Charles Talbot will leave the company next month for a new role at another company, the sandwich chain said Thursday.
Chicago-based Potbelly did not say where Talbot was headed. Potbelly called the role a senior leadership position at a company outside of the restaurant industry and could not be immediately reached for further comment.
Talbot has been Potbelly's CFO since October 2008. He is part of the executive team that helped take the company public in 2013.
Talbot will remain as CFO until he leaves on March 27, Potbelly said. The company said it is conducting an external search for his replacement.
