April 26--The remains of what appears to be an infant were discovered in a residential neighborhood in South Los Angeles on Saturday, officials said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Grace Medrano said the remains were reported in the 1500 block of West 104th Street, in unincorporated Los Angeles County.
The age and identity of the body had not yet been confirmed, and homicide detectives have opened an investigation, she said.
