Dec. 16--A possible arson fire early Tuesday heavily damaged a car in Chula Vista, officials said.
In May, the San Diego County city had a string of car fires in which an arsonist used bottles of gasoline known as a Molotov cocktail.
In each case, the fire took place in the hours after midnight, much like Tuesday's fire.
There were no injuries and no arrests in Tuesday's incident. Arson investigators are seeking to determine the cause of the blaze.
Officials say it is too early to determine if the most recent fire is linked to the earlier incidents.
