Jan. 02--Porchlight Music Theatre announced the cast of "Porchlight Revisits... City of Angels" on Friday.
For its "Revisits..." series, Porchlight produces staged concerts of arguably under-appreciated musicals like this one, "City of Angels," with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by David Zippel and a book by Larry Gelbart.
Brandon Dahlquist and Matt Edmonds star as Stone and Stine respectively, with Brian Zane as Buddy/Irving, Nathan Mittleman as Jimmy Powers, Molly Kral as Oolie/Donna, Anthony Apodaca as Munoz/Vargas, Allison Sill as Bobbi/Gabby, Jennifer Grubb as Alaura, Carla, Kim Green as Mallory/Avril, and Emily Goldberg, Andrew Lund, Andrew Sickel and Stephanie Souza as the Angel City 4 quartet.
Christopher Pazdernik directs the concert, and music direction is by Aaron Benham.
Prior to the 8:00 p.m. concert is a discussion, "Behind the Show Backstory," at 7:15 p.m. hosted by Michael Weber.
"Porchlight Revisits... City of Angels" performs March 3 and March 4 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.
