March 11--Porchlight Music Theatre announced the cast of its upcoming production of "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" on Wednesday.
The 1962 musical comedy with a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart and a score by Stephen Sondheim continues Porchlight's season-long exploration of that composer's oeuvre. Michael Weber will direct the production, Linda Madonia will be music director and Brenda Didier will provide choreography.
Playing Pseudolus, the freedom-craving clown, will be Bill Larkin.
The show will also feature Matthew Crowle as Hysterium, Lorenzo Rush Jr. as Marcus Lycus, Will Clinger as Senex, Caron Buinis as Domina, Miles Blim as Hero, Sarah Lynn Robinson as Philia, Greg Zawada as Miles Gloriosus, Anthony Whitaker as Erronious, Neala Barron as Gymnasia, Ariana Cappaccitti as Tintinabula, Erica Evans as Panacea and Britt-Marie Sivertsen as Vibrata. Jason Grimm, Andrew Lund and Jaymes Osborne will play the trio of Proteans.
"A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" begins performances on April 17 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., and continues through May 24. For tickets, visit porchlightmusictheatre.org.
