March 16--"Evolution of the Modern Zombie" will be presented at 2 p.m. Saturday at Messenger Public Library, 113 Oak St. in North Aurora.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The speaker will be Scott Kenemore, best-selling author of "The Zen of Zombie," "Zombie Ohio," and "Zombie Illinois."
At the event, Kenemore will explore zombies' origins from Haitian mysticism to their evolution in pop culture today.
Kenemore has presented at fan conventions including San Diego Comic Con and Chicago Comic Con.
