June 13--Police are alerting the public after a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and robbed at gunpoint Friday afternoon in the Calumet Heights neighborhood.

The victim was walking in the 8800 block of South Crandon Avenue about 12:30 p.m. when a man approached her and showed a gun, police said.

The attacker forced her into her home, where he sexually assaulted and robbed her, police said.

The attacker was described as a black man with a medium complexion, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and black and red "Michael Jordan" gym shoes, police said.
