BRIEF: Police warn of West Side burglaries

Oct. 28--Police are warning West Side residents of burglaries between Harrison and Grenshaw streets and between Western and Rockwell avenues over five days this month.

Four burglaries occurred between Oct. 16 and Oct. 21 in that area roughly a quarter mile east-to-west and a half mile north-to-south. The burglars stole TVs, games and other "personal items."

The incidents occurred:

--in the 2400 block of West Grenshaw Street on Oct. 16 about 7:35 p.m.

--in the 2400 block of West Grenshaw Street on Oct. 18 about 3:50 p.m.

--in the 2400 block of West Fillmore Street on Oct. 19 about 3:40 p.m.

--in the 2500 block of West Harrison Street on Oct. 21 about 3 p.m.

Police did not release a detailed description of the burglar or burglars.
