BRIEF: Police warn of robberies in Logan Square

Jan. 27--Police are warning Northwest Side residents after a pair of strong-arm robberies in Logan Square.

In both robberies, the suspects approached the victim from behind, knocked the person down and stole the person's property.

The first robbery happened about 4 a.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. The second robbery happened about 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of North Belden Avenue, according to a police alert.

Two robbers were described as Hispanic men, between 20 and 30 years old and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. One of the men was wearing a blue jacket during the robbery, police said. Two other suspects were described as black men, between 35 and 40 years old and between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches. One of the men was wearing a checkered shirt and blue jeans, police said.
