Dec. 30--Police are warning North Side residents after two robberies in Lakeview on Sunday.
The robberies were reported Sunday afternoon, according to a police alert. The first happened about 1:05 p.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of North Wayne Avenue. The second happened in the 3600 block of North Bosworth Avenue, just a few blocks west, about 20 minutes later, police said.
In both robberies, someone approached victims from behind, showed them a gun and demanded property, police said. In both cases, the robber fled the scene in a white older-model car, according to the alert.
