Feb. 26--Police are warning West Side residents after a string of robberies in South Austin.
Four separate armed robberies have been reported in the Austin neighborhood in the past month, police said in a statement. In each robbery, one or two men approached someone, showed a handgun and then demanded property, police said.
The robberies happened:
--About 11:45 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 5700 block of West Ohio Street
--About 3:55 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 5500 block of West Huron Street
--About 7:10 p.m. Feb. 10 in the 600 block of North Mayfield Avenue
--About 10:05 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 700 block of North Central Avenue
