BRIEF: Police warn of Northwest Side burglaries

Oct. 28--Chicago police are warning Albany Park and Mayfair residents of burglaries to businesses that have happened over the last several days.

The incidents occurred at the following locations:

--4800 block of North Kedzie Avenue about 2:17 a.m. on Oct. 26

--4800 block of North Kedzie Avenue about 2:48 a.m. on Oct. 25

--4900 block of North Elston Avenue between midnight Oct. 19 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 20

--4400 block of North Pulaski Avenue between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 9:30 a.m. the next morning

--4900 block of North Elston Avenue about 10 p.m. on Oct. 19

In the two most recent burglaries, the men fired three or four gunshots to break a window and gain entry to steal jewelry.

In the three earlier incidents, police didn't describe how the burglars entered the businesses to steal "miscellaneous property," though tools and auto equipment were taken in two of the three burglaries.

Police did not provide detailed descriptions of the burglars.
