BRIEF: Police warn of burglaries on West Side

Nov. 28--Four residences within a few blocks of each other in the South Austin neighborhood have been burglarized in the past month, according to a news release from Chicago police.

The burglars broke in through back windows or doors and took property, police said.

The burglaries occurred on:

--Nov. 10 in the 5200 block of West Ohio Street between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.

--Nov. 16 in the 600 block of North Laramie Avenue at 6 p.m.

--Nov. 21 in the 5300 block of West Ohio Street between 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.

--Nov. 23 in the 500 block of North Lockwood Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

In the incident on Laramie Avenue, three people were seen loading property into a gray Toyota truck, police said.
