BRIEF: Police: Two men kidnap woman outside Archer Heights home

Nov. 11--A woman told police she was kidnapped outside her home by two men who tried to break into her home in the Archer Heights neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Wednesday morning.

The woman was grabbed in the 4300 block of South Pulaski Road around 12:15 a.m., according to Officer Jose Estrada, a spokesman for Chicago police.

She was found unharmed a short time later about nine miles away in the 600 block of West 83rd Street in the Gresham neighborhood, Estrada said.

The woman was taken in good condition to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where she was being evaluated.

The woman's family said she was coming from a store when the two men attacked her. The family said the attackers handcuffed her and shoved her inside a car in an alley near her home.

The two allegedly took the woman's keys and tried to break into her home, the family and police said. Several of the woman's relatives who live in the home called 911 after hearing the attackers, they said.
