Dec. 05--Police are inviting the public Friday evening to view and claim property stolen during North Side burglaries over the past nine months.
Residents can check out items police confiscated at the Bureau of Detectives-Area North Auditorium, at 2452 W. Belmont Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m., according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department Office of News Affairs.
The property, which includes cameras, laptops and jewelry, was stolen between March and November in District 19 and District 20, according to the statement.
Police arrested a man and a woman in connection with the incidents.
Daunta Head, 46, was charged with four felony counts of residential burglary, one felony count of burglary and three felony counts of theft, according to Cook County Jail's website and the statement. Head's bail was set at $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
Patrice Banks was charged with three felony counts of theft and one misdemeanor count of theft.
People who wish to claim the property must provide proof of purchase or ownership.
