BRIEF: Police seek suspect caught on camera prying spoiler off car in Glendale neighborhood

Jan. 22--Police on Friday released surveillance footage of a man prying off the rear spoiler of a BMW parked in a Glendale driveway.

Just after 7 a.m. on Jan. 16, the suspect walked up to the 2014 BMW 328i, which was parked in the victim's driveway on the 500 block of Granada Street, pried off the roughly 4-foot spoiler and walked off, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

Home surveillance footage of the theft can be viewed on YouTube.

"People need to be aware of others walking down the street with a hood on, carrying a car part, and call the police," she said. "That's considered suspicious activity."

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
