BRIEF: Missing 73-year-old woman with dementia reunited with family

May 29--Chicago police said Friday a 73-year-old missing woman who has dementia is safely back with her family.

Gay Sven had last been seen around 7 p.m. on Thursday when she left the 3400 block of North Lake Shore Drive, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department.

Sven, who has dementia, was driving a 2011 dark brown Volkswagen Jetta TDI, according to the statement. She may have be driving toward her home in Richmond, Ill.

Sven is 5-foot-2, weighs about 160 pounds and has blue eyes, gray hair and a fair complexion.

She has a surgical scar on her chest from a heart surgery and has an identification piece tied to one of her shoe laces, according to the statement.

Sven was last seen wearing gray slacks, the statement said.
