Feb. 02--Chicago police released photos Monday of a suspect wanted in the 2014 fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old man on the Near North Side.
The fatal stabbing happened Nov. 9, 2014, on the 800 block of North Orleans Street, police said.
Willis Jefferson, of the 7400 block of South Vincennes Avenue in Chicago, was stabbed repeatedly in the back, police said at the time. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:31 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
According to police, the suspect exited a vehicle that appears to be a maroon Dodge Intrepid before stabbing the man.
Detectives are also seeking any witnesses.
Jefferson had been released on parole in August 2014 after he was sentenced in 2007 to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated battery to a peace officer, Department of Corrections records show.
