Nov. 14--Police have released images of a man believed to be involved in the early morning sexual assault of a woman Saturday in the city's Loop neighborhood.
Between the hours of 3 to 3:35 a.m. Saturday, a 31-year-old woman exited a CTA Red Line train at Harrison and State streets when a man began to follow her, police said.
The woman was walking southbound in the 600 block of South Plymouth Court when the man grabbed her and struck her with a blunt object. He then dragged the woman to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her, police said.
He then took the woman's purse and fled in an unknown direction.
The attacker is described as a black man between the ages of 20 to 27. He is between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 145 and 180 pounds. He has a light complexion with brown eyes and short hair, said police.
The man was wearing a black leather jacket, a black hoodie, a Chicago White Sox baseball cap, light-colored blue jeans and white gym shoes, said police.
