The man was near a bus stop in the 3600 block of South King Drive about 6:30 p.m. when he grabbed the girl by the neck and tried to push her toward a mid-size gray car, police said.

The girl refused to get in, and the man drove off after a bystander intervened, according to police.

The attacker was described as black, 6 foot 2, 35 to 45 years old and 225 pounds.
