May 06--Police are searching for a man who they say tried to kidnap a "female victim" Thursday evening in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the North Side.

The person was in the 2000 block of West Wilson Avenue around 5:10 p.m. when a man approached in a red four-door car, according to a release from the Chicago Police Department.

The man parked the car and walked up to the victim. He grabbed her arm and tried to force her into his car. The victim hit the man and ran away, according to the release.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 38, 5-foot-7 and weighing 200 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and a light complexion, the release said.
