BRIEF: Police: Man missing from South Side

May 12--Police are asking for help in finding a 37-year-old man who has been missing from the South Side.

Maurice Thompson was last seen Wednesday in the area of 79th Street and Stewart Avenue, according to a news alert from the Chicago Police Department.

Thompson has a cognitive disability and is nonverbal. He is 5-foot-8 and weighs 140 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

Thompson was last seen wearing navy blue Chicago Bears hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt and red pants.

Anyone with information about Thompson's whereabouts should contact police at 312-747-8274.
