BRIEF: Police: Man falls 3 stories in Logan Square, dies

Jan. 01--A man doing home improvement fell three stories and died Tuesday afternoon in the Logan Square neighborhood, police said.

It happened about 2 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Medill Avenue.

The 43-year-old man was about three stories up adjusting plastic covering a gangway when he lost his balance and fell to the ground, police said.

The man was identified as Vasyl Grydzhan. An autopsy conducted Wednesday determined that he died of injuries sustained in the fall and his death was ruled an accident.

He was dead on the scene and police are conducting a death investigation.
