BRIEF: Police search for missing Lawndale girl, 15

Jan. 31--Police are searching for a 15-year-old Lawndale girl who has been missing since Thursday.

Makalin Cantre, of the 3100 block of West Flournoy Street, was last seen wearing a white jacket with vertical purple stripes, a turquoise Aeropostale sweater, white pajamas with pink and purple hearts and stars, and brown boots with fur, similar to Uggs, according to a Chicago police statement.

The 5-foot-1 girl weighs about 98 pounds and has brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion.

Makalin used to live on the city's South Side and has been known to frequent the area on Kedzie Avenue between 54th and 63rd streets, according to the statement.

Anyone with information about Makalin's location should call Area North detectives at 312-744-8200.
