Aug. 26--Police are investigating a possible arson in West Garfield Park early Wednesday.
A building in the 4100 block of West Maypole Avenue caught fire at about 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman. No injuries were reported, but several people were displaced.
Someone told police he saw a person throw something into the building that may have started the fire, Alfaro said.
No information was immediately available about the extent of damage to the building.
The police arson unit is investigating.
