BRIEF: Man charged with exposing himself on Green Line held on $150K bail

Oct. 05--A 21-year-old Englewood neighborhood man is accused of exposing himself and touching a woman inappropriately Friday on the CTA's Green Line, police said.

Anton M. Johnson, 21, of the 6600 block of South Sangamon Street, was charged with aggravated battery to a transit passenger, police said.

Johnson appeared for a bond hearing Sunday afternoon at the Leighton Criminal Court Building, where he was held in lieu of $150,000 bail.

In an alert issued Friday evening, police said a man touched a woman and exposed himself at the 35th/Bronzeville-IIT station about 11:05 a.m. Friday.

According to court records and prosecutors, the victim was a CTA employee waiting for a train whom Johnston waved at to get the woman's attention. He then grabbed her buttock and when she turned, he exposed himself to her, according to prosecutors.

Johnson is the father of an 8-month-old child and works at a local car wash, lawyers said in court.
