Feb. 23--Elgin police say they have resolved a barricade situation that began Monday morning with a person making threats.
The incident began around 4:15 a.m. in the 500 block of East Chicago Street and was over by 7:30 a.m., according to a statement from the Elgin Police Department.
During the incident, residents and commuters were encouraged to avoid using East Chicago Street between Channing and Liberty streets, police said.
