April 26--Police in northwest suburban McHenry are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a bank Friday.
BMO Harris Bank, 1712 N. Richmond Road, was robbed about 11:35 a.m. Friday, according to a release from McHenry police.
The man entered the bank, went up to a teller counter and gave a note to a teller demanding money, police sad. The man was given cash and fled the bank.
No gun was shown in the robbery, and no one was injured.
The man was last seen running east from the front door of the bank, according to police.
The robber was described as a white man between the ages of 40 and 50, about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8, with a thin build. He was wearing a tan or off-white fisherman's hat with lettering on the front, dark pants, a dark blue or green jacket, and dark shoes. He was carrying a black backpack.
